Annual Meeting Student Competitions 

The MSRT sponsors competitive events at the Annual meeting each year for all student members of the MSRT. These events include a Scientific Essay Competition, Scientific Display Competition and the Student Bee. Each event grants winners a medal and a monetary award. First place winners will be awarded a plaque.

All participants must be student members of the MSRT at the time of the application deadline and membership shall not lapse before the first day of the annual meeting. Entrants should be able to show proof of membership by including a copy of the membership card with their entry. All entrants must be registered for at least one day of the annual meeting to be eligible for a prize. 

Please note: 

  1. Students may not submit an entry with the same topic content to both the display and the essay competitions. Submitting an entry to both competitions with the same content will result in disqualification of both submissions.

    2. Entrants may submit more than one entry to each competition, but will only be eligible to win one prize per competition.

3. Essays and Displays which do not earn a minimum of 60/100 points will not be eligible for an award.

Scientific Essay Competition

The scientific essay may be written on any content related to the medical imaging sciences or radiation therapy profession. There will be a monetary award for 1st-3rd place winners. Scientific Display Competition

A student or group of students are encouraged to make a scientific display on any topic related to the medical imaging sciences or radiation therapy profession, which is to be displayed at our Annual Meeting. There will be a monetary award for 1st-3rd place winners. All entries must be submitted by the specified deadline in order to be qualified. Student Bee

Each year our Student Bee is held on Wednesday night of the Annual Meeting immediately following the last presentation. Each school program director must submit their students' names by the specified deadline to enroll. There will be a monetary award for individual 1st-4th place winners. Furthermore, the school to which the winner of our Student Bee attends will be awarded a trophy to hold for display for one year.  Please click the link below for complete competition rules and application.
