Deadline for nominations is July 1st!

The form below is used to submit nominations for elected leadership positions within the Michigan Society of Radiologic Technologists (MSRT), in accordance with the MSRT bylaws.

Any voting member of the MSRT may submit a nomination to the Nominations Committee prior to the published deadline. Nominations may be submitted on behalf of another eligible member or as a self-nomination.

All nominees must meet eligibility requirements outlined in the MSRT Bylaws.

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Nominees for officer positions must be active members of both the MSRT and the ASRT.

  • Nominees for ASRT Affiliate Delegate must meet qualifications outlined in Article VII of the Bylaws, including prior service and ASRT membership requirements.

  • Candidate must be a member of and in good standing with the MSRT.

  • Nominees will be contacted to confirm willingness to serve before being placed on the ballot.

 

Submission Process

The MSRT Nominations Committee will review all nominations in accordance with Article IV, Section 5 of the Bylaws.

The Nominations Committee will:

  • Confirm proper credentials
  • Confirm nominee’s willingness to serve
Nominator's Name
THREE-YEAR LEADERSHIP COMMITMENT. In accordance with Article IV, Section 3(b) of the Bylalws : The President-Elect shall serve for one (1) year as President-Elect, one (1) year as President, and one (1) year as Chairperson of the Board. Duties include: 1. Shall become familiar with the activities of the Society and shall make all preparation necessary for elevation to the office of President. 2. Shall submit to the Board of Directors a list of all committee chairpersons and the proposed budget for the forthcoming year prior to the Annual Meeting. 3. Shall serve as chairperson of the “Educator of the Year” committee. 4. Shall perform all other duties as outlined in the Society Policies and Procedures Guidelines.
1st Vice-President: 1. Shall become acquainted with the duties of the President. 2. In the absence of the President, the 1st Vice-President shall assume the duties of the President. 3. Shall serve as chairperson of the “Student of the Year” committee. 4. Shall perform all other duties outlined in the Society Policies and Procedures Guidelines.
2nd Vice-President: 1. Shall become acquainted with the duties of the 1st Vice-President. 2. Shall serve as the chairman of the “Technologist of the Year” committee. 3. Shall perform all other duties outlined in the Society Policies and Procedures Guidelines.
Secretary: 1. Shall keep a correct and permanent record of the Society’s minutes. 2. Conduct correspondence. 3. Perform all duties outlined in the Society Policies and Procedures Guidelines.
Term and Alternate Delegates: Delegates are elected to serve a two (2) year term and may not serve more than two (2) consecutive terms unless no other nominations are received. In accordance with the MSRT Bylaws, alternate delegates shall be designated as the individuals who receive the second- and third-highest totals of votes at the time of election of officers. Qualifications: 1. Must meet qualifications in accordance with ASRT Bylaws. 2. Must be a voting member of the ASRT and the MSRT for two (2) years immediately preceding nomination. 3. Must have served as an officer, Board Member, or committee chair in the MSRT. 4. Must practice in medical imaging or radiation therapy. 5. Must have time and availability for necessary travel to represent the ASRT and MSRT. Responsibilities: 1. Shall attend the ASRT House of Delegates meetings and all required delegate meetings. 2. Shall respond to communication from the ASRT Office, ASRT Board of Directors, or ASRT House of Delegates. 3. Shall disseminate information to the MSRT. 4. Shall attend MSRT Board meetings.
