Established in 2021, the Student of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding student enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology, radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, or sonography program. This award honors a student who demonstrates academic excellence, clinical competence, professionalism, leadership, and commitment to the future of the profession. Eligibility Requirements

The candidate must be a member of and in good standing with the MSRT.

Must be enrolled in the final year of an accredited program.

Minimum GPA of 3.5
- Open to radiologic technology, radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, and sonography students.
Nomination Requirements
- Any MSRT member may submit a nomination.
- Nomination may come from a classmate, technologist, or program faculty member
- Must be submitted using the official online form below.
- Incomplete nominations will be returned.
Required Documentation
- Completed nomination form (found below)
- Letter of Nomination
- At least two references with contact information
- One reference MUST be the student’s Program Director (if not the nominator)
- Only one reference may be a fellow student
- Letters of recommendation from references (may be requested separately)
- Letters should address:
- Academic performance
- Clinical performance
- Patient care skills
- Professionalism and work ethic
- Leadership and extracurricular involvement
- Future career goals
- Rapport with patients, peers, and faculty

Nominations will be forwarded to the MSRT 1st Vice-President for review.
