Established in 1968, the Technologist of the Year Award is one of the highest honors bestowed by the MSRT. This award recognizes a registered technologist or radiation therapist who exemplifies professional excellence, leadership, service, and dedication to the advancement of the radiologic sciences and the MSRT. Eligibility Requirements

The candidate must be a member of and in good standing with the MSRT.

Must be actively employed in the medical imaging or radiation therapy profession as a registered technologist.
- The current MSRT President, President-Elect, Board Chair, 1st Vice President and 2nd Vice President are not eligible to be nominated for this award.
Nomination Requirements
- Any MSRT member may submit a nomination.
- Must be submitted using the official online form below.
- Incomplete nominations will be returned.
Required Documentation
- Completed nomination form (found below)
- Letter of Nomination
- At least two professional references (including contact information)
- Letters of recommendation from references (may be requested separately)

Submission and Review

All nominations must be submitted by June 1st.

Nominations will be forwarded to the MSRT 2nd Vice President for review.

All nominations remain confidential.
- Candidates not selected will remain eligible for consideration for two consecutive years following nomination.
